

Allatoona 2/24
Allatoona is really heating up especially for crappie however we are almost always in search for the larger game fish. All in all it was a great day with several fish caught including some really fun action watching a big striper play with our baitfish. Shad of all sized fished on planer boards, free lines and downlines all scored at different times of the day.


Lanier 2/21
Fishing on Lanier has been hit or miss when going for big fish. We were using very large baits in hopes of a monster and when the largest bait got hit we were giddy with excitement but then our thin 12lb test leader snapped before we could get the rod out of the holder. When running small line you constantly run the risk of breaks offs however you will get bit more often when fishing clear waters. Lake Lanier Fishing Report 2/7/17
Conditions: Overcast / Drizzle, 60 Degrees air temp, 53 degree water temp. Clear to stained water. Fish were blowing up on schools of tiny shad in the backs of large mid-lake creeks. I came with medium - large shad from 10"-16" looking for a beast but all of these fish were in the 5-8 lb. class. Managed one about 8lbs. but watched fish chomp at my baits all day, just not big enough to take the full bait. The fish are definitely super active now so get back into the long


Lake Allatoona Fishing Report 2/12/17
Weather Conditions: Air temp up to 65 degrees, Water Temperature 52-57 degrees. Overcast and drizzle, stained to muddy water. I got out with my favorite fishing partner today for a quick trip to my home lake Allatoona. We threw the cast net for shad and quickly got enough to get started.
